March 29 2010

We've been very busy recently having worked with Crash mixing their upcoming single. Keep on the lookout for that as its going to be Mastered by Ted Jenson within the next few weeks. We've also recently completed mastering for Gunfight!'s debut album, so look out for that as it sounds great. Big news soon so keep checking back!

December 9 2009

We completed work with Maryellen McCabe recording and mixing her latest addition to her Heroes and Heroins series. I'll post some samples of that within the next few days. We are still in the process of overhauling the SSL and hopefully will have it up and running within the next few months, although with the brand new baby in the house, thats a bit harder at the moment. Hopefully we'll be recording with Silence the Feedback within the next month or 2 on a full length album. Give us a call if you'd like to discuss a project we can work on together.

I need to update this more often as this seems to be a once a year thing lately. So here's the news. We moved to Shrub Oak, NY and recorded Fallout, a local coverband. The tracks are up on the Clients page. Also hopefully within the next few months, we will be upgrading our Audio Equipment with a 32 Channel SSL 4000 series console. It's in the process of being overhauled, and wired up. We also plan on working with Gunfight! once again, don't forget to check out itunes or Amazon to purchase their EP currently out. I realized its been close to a year since I've updated the site. Well lots of news to report. We finished up with With These Souls, recorded with Reinventing Yellow, Time of Solitude, Black Tie Affiar, and once again with Gunfight!. We now have a massive Plugin library, you name it, and we probably have it. In the coming months, we hope to finish up an EP for Gunfight! which with any luck will get some distribution (details to come), I need to just go back and grab some mp3's of those projects and I'll post samples for your listening pleasure. We also are probably changing locations moving from Yorktown Heights NY to Shrub Oak NY. Our new and permanent home where we will build out a control room and live room.(look for that change by the end of summer or early fall). We of course are still open for business throughout all of this, so please give a call or e-mail to see how we can work together on a project.

Its been a long time since an update here at Mintz Productions. Check out the Clients section as we are working with With These Souls a hard metal band from New York recording an EP. Also we are in talks to possibly record again with Undetermined, this time a full length debut LP. That may happen later this summer. We have finished with Gunfight! the songs are posted on their Myspace.

Things are getting busy here at Mintz Productions. Check out the Clients section as we will be working with Gunfight! a "post country" rock band from Boston, MA recording a full length debut LP. Also we will be working with The Revival, a Post hardcore Rock band from New Jersey recording a Press Kit EP. All this will happen during the first 2 weeks in August, so keep on the lookout for samples from these rockin' projects.

I will be posting my available studio time on the Services Page of the website so check those out if you are thinking of recording with us in the future, and call us up to book some time.

Lots of News since we last updated. First off we have torn apart and rebuilt our control room. It now features a brand new floor and a hand painted ceiling that should inspire those creative juices to flow. Special thanks to PJ Mintz for making that happen, it looks great!. We are now in the wiring phase of our facelift and will be wiring up many new pieces of gear including 4 LA-4 compressors, 2 GML 8200 Eq's, 3 DBX 160 compressors, 1 PCM 70 reverb/fx unit and a pair of Yamaha NS-10m speakers. Prior to the facelift, we finished up Purgatory Injustice's Debut LP "All of Nothing". Also check out the Clients section for mp3's from Dover Falls, Purgatory Injustice, and Urban Cincopath.

We've been busy the past few months...we finished up Dover Falls debut EP so look for that in the coming months...also we've been hard at work with Purgatory Injustice putting together their debut LP "All of Nothing". That should be finished within the next few weeks so keep an eye out for that very soon! Mintz Productions is currently looking for bands for summer recording so if you know someone looking to make an album give them our number!

Check out the Clients section as we will be working with Purgatory Injustice to record a song and possibly to record a full length debut album. Work is now complete for Urban Cincopath (Formerly The Brooklyn Queens Experiment), and as soon as they have it mastered and pressed, I'll post some mp3's from that project. Also our work with Dover Falls is nearing the end, as most of the recording is done. Only minor overdubs and some mixing remain, so check back in December for details on that. Our rate card has recently been updated so check out the Services page for all of the latest prices. Also, congratulations are in order as Seth Mintz (owner and operator of Mintz Productions) recently married his lovely girlfriend PJ. Here's hoping for a happily ever after!

Check out the Clients section as we will be working with Dover Falls to record a 3 song demo within the next couple weeks. Also we are just about to complete work with Urban Cincopath (Formerly The Brooklyn Queens Experiment) on their full length CD, just need to finish mixing a few songs and tweak them a little. Mintz Productions just finished recording a show for "Wounded Buffalo Theory" at a cabin in Andes, NY dubbed "Cabinfest '04".  Everything went well and the end result should be some fun recordings.  They were joined by a great band "Brother's Past" although we were only tapped to record Buffalo Theory's set.  With any luck, you'll get to check out a song or 2 from the show in a week or 2.  Keep checking back for more info.

Mintz Productions is proud to announce that we are in talks with and might end up working with "Wounded Buffalo Theory" a great up and coming bluesy/jam band from NY.  We should if everything goes according to plan be recording sometime in April at a cabin in upstate NY.  Should be fun, and should get some great music recorded.  Keep checking back for more info about this project and all others.

First off HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! be it a few days late and all.  Secondly we finally finished mixing and mastering Desolate's EP.  The Mp3's are up in the client showcase section and if you like them please support the band and buy their EP (use the link to the band's website for more info).    Help spread the word about MINTZ PRODUCTIONS, tell everyone you know who is in a band to call them up for all their recording needs!

We recorded more of Desolate this past weekend and got some great guitar and bass tracks down, its starting to really come together.  We still have vocals and mixing to do so it might just be a few more weeks until we have a finished product.  Keep checking back for updates.

Well we finally now accept credit cards through Paypal.  Now its even easier and more flexible to pay for those recording sessions.  Check back often for any new information regarding all of our projects currently and in the past.

Hopefully we will be able to work with "Desolate" again next weekend....would have this weekend but the weather does not look to be promising.  We wrote a cool atmospheric intro for their EP which will be overdubbed with spoken word......and next time we record, we should get some killer guitar tracks.  Keep checking back for any more news on these and all of our ongoing projects.
